Creating Majora's Mask Debug ROM

I was thinking about how some people can hack ROMs to insert PAR codes into them. Would it be possible to take this code

-MAJORA'S MASK 1.0 US-
ENABLE LEVEL SELECT (PRESS START AT TITLE SCREEN)

811BDA06 ADF0

811BDA0A E2D0
811BDA0C 8080
811BDA0E 0910

And create a patch for it so it would basically turn a normal copy of Majora's Mask into a debug ROM?

The thing about debug ROM's is that, in addition to Map Select, they have debug features such as the debug camera or the ability to interrupt cutscenes and etc. So while this is definitely an interesting idea, it would take much more work to have a legitimate MM debug rom.

I thought about all those extra features, and guessed they wouldn't appear if we did this. Is is possible, though, with this code, to create a patch to enable map select at least? How would one do that is it is possible?

i think its a cool idea to make a mm debug rom, but nintendo probably didnt have one at one point

It's completely possible. If you want to get a patch for it created, try asking Spinout or Sakura on our site.

you must decompress your rom to do this then find the actor entry for the file select screen then insert the variables that the gs code changes for this entry.
